    theories of recruitment and selection

what theoretical framework or conceptual framework can i use to back up my research on the strategies that are put in place by an organisation so that its recruitment and selection process is fair

    Fair is a relative term.

What you would need to prove is that the selection process was completely based on merit and nothing else. You would have to show that the candidates selected, were chosen because of their credentials.

to Back up your argument you would have to show that the strategies in place are in fact strategies that seek out people because of their capabilities.

Um they aren't in general. Mainly it's about the bottom line, the dollar. Human Resources theories are generally used to "select" people. Most of these have dubious origins, from HR firms marketing any old theorem to make money for themselves. Frankly there are so many people, employers have so much choice, it's a buyer's market for them.
