I need some help its an employment question

Today at work I had to leave early because my mother had a seizure, she has epilepsy and could pass away, I explained to my manager it was an emergency, can he legally fire me because of this??

Every state has different laws concerning firing. You need to look up the laws for your state. I live in Florida, employers can fire you with no cause. In most situations though, I think that if you told your boss you were leaving and the reason why, they should be sympathetic. Especially if this is not a usual occurance.

    * I do not want to scare you and I am not sure what city you are in, but finding a job in Florida is really hard. I have been on unemployment for almost a year. But, I would think that your employer would not fire you for this situation. Go and talk to them, tell them your situation and they SHOULD understand. I wish you the best and I will pray that you do not lose your job.

That sounds like something related to the FMLA act. You might want to start looking for an answer there. Talk about the last thing you want to worry about at a time like this! Hope things work out ok.

thankyou, I also now live in Florida and I really hope I don't get fired because of this because it was a situation that was out of my control. I just recently moved out here and I was also wondering is it easy to get a job again even if I get fired, especially if I get fired for something like this?

It is always better to take proper perrmission  leaving office before office hours. If you have let without informing your Boss, he can ask you the reason before taking action against you. You can in turn submit the reply explaining the unavoidable circumstances supported by the  relevant documents of your mother's illness.
