    What is the best way to track ProBono work on a P&L statement?

    I use QuickBooks Pro for my accounting.  When I do Pro Bono work I invoice it and post a discount item for charitable donations to the invoice to zero out the invoice total.  On the P&L statement the work done shows up as income and the discount as expense.  They wash at the Net Income line, but my Gross Income is artificially inflated.  Is there a better way to track Pro Bono work?
