Google just recently changed the algorithm for SERP, (getting on the first pages of a search)
User interaction is part of the new SEO - does that mean I should have polls or surveys on each and every page to make them stay a little while longer?
User interaction is not part of the algorithm, as far as anyone knows. However things like bounce rate may be indirectly effected by this. User engagement is part of the algorithm, and has been for some time, think tweets, facebook updates, comments on page, etc.
I really hope this is not the protocol to attract readers and obtain a good rank. It should be based on original content and ability to write. Personally when there is a poll or survey I avoid the article.
