Hi! I wanted your opinion on getting certified in A+ and Network+
I just got started on those classes and I'm a bit overwhlemed. Is it worth getting though the clasees? Is working in the field rewarding, stable and profitable? Thank you!!!! Scott
I am A+, Network+ as well as the semi-defunct iNet+ certified.
As you know these are really just the intro certifications into the IT field. Most will move into receiving vendor specific certs from Microsoft, Cisco, Apple..etc which I recommend. Nowadays the field is saturated especially with the CompTIA certs...I would suggest getting a college degree as well in IT and programming. Learn some languages and couple that with your industry hardware certs to better round yourself out as you will face stiff competition with little to no experience when you complete those entry level certs. Good Luck!
