When you are feeling overwhelmed at work, do you know when to say, "NO'?
Sometimes we put our jobs/careers above our health and family. We need to learn how to balance all areas of our lives and decide what is important.
I do now at the age of 48, but as a 20-30 year old I struggled with this. I have no problem saying no now since I know self care is a very important skill to have for better quality life.
I certainly know how to say, "No" but no one seems to care at work. New job duties are presented to me as, "Would you be interested in doing this?" I say, "No," but I still end up getting them. I wish they would just be honest and give work to me. They should just say, "Do you need to keep this job? Then here - take it!"
