What does it take to become a CNA? I have always had good jobs but think its time for a career.
If you are speaking of a certified nursing assistant, here in Montana it is only about a 2 week course and the pay isn't much higher than minimum wage.
If you mean CMA, certified medical assistant, it is a minimum 2 year course at a college or community college. The pay is better but not great.
In order to become a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), one must look into their city or state's mandate for the qualifications. I once worked as one, some years ago and it was a requirement to attend a state training program. In which, I found one at a local Nursing Home, enrolled, took the course and had my certification within weeks! Hope this helps. Regards, Sapphireid
