What would really happen if the US didn't raise the debt ceiling?
Would the sky really fall in and crush us, as the politicians would like us to believe? What's the worse that could happen and what would be the most likely events to happen if the debt was defaulted?
You would default and the USD would lose it's world currency status. Losing the USD world curency status would be disasterous for the United States as their dollar would be subsequently devalued even more.
