Flat owner in our society is not inducted as a Member due to illegal construction work in his flat
The society has objected to it since the begining, but he was unmindfull.
My question is :-
(1) Since he is not at member we are raising the monthly maintenance bills and the receipts in the name of the previous owner. Is that correct.
(2) The name board of in the entrance of the building still bears the name of the previous owner. Is that correct ?
Are we doing the right thing ? or is he entitled to receive bills in his name.
1. If he is not a member, that is a legality that should be taken up with the previous owner. As it is their name, not yours. 2. If the previous owner is no longer there, you cannot deny him his bills. If he lives there, it is his place of solitude so therefore it is his. Even if he is not a member, he should be allowed to receive his own bills otherwise they will remain unpaid.
