What is the minimum wage in the USA? How many hours are you required to work?
as per this website: http://www.dol.gov/elaws/faq/esa/flsa/001.htm
"For work performed on or after July 24, 2009, the federal minimum wage is $7.25 per hour."
you are not required to work any amount of hours. you can work as many hours or as little hours as you want.
however, if you work overtime (usually more than 40 hours a week, can vary by state), "The overtime premium rate is one and one-half times the employee's regular rate, unless otherwise specified."
