Not really sure what to write, my title says it all!  Hubby got laid off 3 hours ago from CN for the fourth time in 2 years.  Now what?  Got to start getting creative methinks!

I sold all of my gold jewelery...to survive on.  It works.
In a recent article I wrote:
      1.  What you can let go of, You have Mastured.
      2.  What you cannot let go of, has mastured you.

I have not found work in my experienced field or my new degree feild so two months and no work.  My hubby did not either.  So, we are in the same boat.  May I ask all those who have a job, help those any way they can.  Please.

UGH!!!  I'm so sorry, mine got "outsourced" just recently, will be jobless in January.  Not having any luck finding a job where we live in Portland, OR.  SO, we're investigating uprooting our lives, our kids lives to move.  I feel for you.  sad

Me too about a month ago. Megs -- One of my dearest friends lives/works in Portland. What kind of work is hubby into? Now that I think of it, I may have asked this before. Just count me as "old" and be kind enough to answer again!

Do you mean OHSU (Oregon Health Sciences University), Providence, Legacy, or the VA?  A while ago he worked for Legacy Health Systems in the corporate office, actually.  Thanks so much, let me know.

Yeah, us too.  We hate even the thought of moving, but we will do what we have to do if his layoff lasts too long.  It is only temporary, but waiting for unemployment to kick in is 6 weeks after he receives his last paycheck, so its tough to live in the meantime.  What a world we live in right now eh?

I hear you...  We've been struggling because before the outsourcing they were slashing salaries and benefits, too.  So, we had to eat through way too much of our savings.  Didn't help I had to have 4 knee surgeries.  Anyhoo, it's very scary, SO scary with 3 children.  What a world is right!

Plan ahead for this is you have kids.  I had to let mine
go live with a relative.  I have no job and its been two months.  So, if you have credit use it, and keep all your cash to move.  We were going to uproot too, but that is not alwys the answer.  Seek help from a Christian.  And pray to your highter power, it works, it is for us.

      Please say how?
Yes, I am positive: sagittarius says it all, but
you need some money to make money.
I have my own Organizing biz I cannot get off the
ground.  I have biz cards, expertise, articles, free
web sites, and nothing in six months.
      Any ideas?
I sold all my gold to survive on.
      I lost my child.
      I pray a lot.
      Please advise?

wow, so sorry to hear your news. I can't imagine losing a child.
my deepest sympathies to you. were you able to receive unemployment insurance? losing a job is hard and you certainly need support around you. friends? family? have you checked out Patty Inglish's hubs? she has a lot of very good info concerning employment/unemployment.

I do believe there are opportunities and sometimes it's just a matter of timing, networking, making contacts. I'm sure you've heard this before. smile hang in there, it will get better.

Wow, sorry to hear about all these lay offs.

If you need some quick cash you can try writing some articles for Demand. They pay $15 per article (500ish words) and there is no limit to the number of articles you can write. Some people there write quite a few per day. You won't get rich but if you work hard, you will definitely make enough to pay some bills.
