If you could give new Hubbers tips on how to make at least a dollar a day via their hubs, what would they be?
Don't recommend things that you yourself wouldn't use. And write about topics that are useful and interesting to a broad range of people.
what if you are doing both these things, and the goal of one dollar a day is still elusive?
I have sometimes been asked how people can make money on HubPages, and my answer is always the same.
Getting income from AdSense etc. requires massive traffic in most cases, which may take a long time to build. So, if the person has some products or services they can sell, then I advise them to use their HubPages profile and hubs - within the rules - to promote these products and services.
I have made thousands of dollars as an editor and critic while on HubPages for two years. With multiple accounts and approximately 300 published hubs, I have made only a fraction of that amount in affiliate income. So the advice that I pass on reflects my own experiences. I hope this helps.

I really appreciate the comments I receive from hubbers, but I can't help wondering why there are so few comments from nonhubbers. I would think that at least a few readers who find my hubs through Google, especially, would comment. Is it just yours truly, or is this true for all hubbers?

I'm very timid when it comes to change if the change is not one of my own choosing, even if it is good change. Moving to HubPages was an upsetting experience for me, mainly because I felt the place we moved from would find a way to mess it up or that HP would treat us like illegal aliens.Only...
