That's a big difference. I would like to use public transportation but I commute through two counties so there is no public transporation that will take me. I would have to drive half the way first, then take a bus, then the Metro Link.
I work generally from home, from home it takes me less then a minute to get from my bed to my office desk and chair. If i am meeting with customers or prospects then I go to my office, which is a 20 minute walk from my house.
How do you like working from home? Some days, I wish I could and then other days I think I would miss all of the people in my office. It sounds like you have the best of both worlds since you get to be out with customers some and at home some.
My workplace is around 20 kilometres from my house. I travel by walk to the bus stand and the walking time is around forty five minutes. Then I board a city bus and commute to office. It takes around half an hour for the bus journey.
I walk a few feet from the bedroom to the office and love it. Used to have to drive into an office everyday, now the biggest diversion in my commute is stopping off at the kitchen to brew a cup or three of coffee to start the day off right.
