We did it! We opened an Etsy store to sell my husbands segmented wood turned vases. There is a lot of work to setting up an Etsy store!
I want to thank everyone who has commented or emailed me about his wood vases that I feature in one of my hubs - your comments and feedback really helped push us forward to open this store & hopefully our new business venture will help out while he is unemployed!
Congrats! I looked for his vases there a few days ago - I think it is neat you guys are doing it. I have thought about selling my architectual glass on there so I'll be watching how it goes for you.
Good luck, Holly
Jane, definitely keep us posted on this. Email me with a link to your etsy shop and a .jpg and I'll put it on one of my websites to give you guys some google juice if you want!
Congratulations Jane. I hope this endeavor goes very well for you and your husband.

Lately there is much buzz about etsy being a great way for artisans to market products. I was just wondering if any fellow hubbers are also on etsy and what you think of it, how it is working for you.

Woo hoo, I finally opened an Etsy store for my hubby's segmented wood vases. Now I need a banner but have no clue how to make one! I have photoshop, but I'm not very proficient at it.

I have sold my paintings on ebay before, and I was wondering if etsy.com might be a better way to go? Has anyone else had success on this site or could offer advice as to how to sell paintings online?
