Do your think your Major/Degree reflect your current profession?
it will depend on what degree you have and what profession you decide to go into
what about people already settled in a particular profession. thanks
Mine doesn't. I have a degree in Accounting but I have been doing sales my whole career.
I worked in my field for 12 years before starting a family and staying home. Now I work from home, but I apply my education/experience to my daily and professional life. So even though I'm not directly working in my field any more, I've been pro-actively volunteering since I retired and sometimes write about my past profession.
As you said we use our education/experience in our daily life as well in professional life, even though they are not linked directly. I remember a famous Neurosurgeon Dr.Q (Alfredo Quinones-Hinojosa) ,who worked on farms outside of Fresno, California
creativedoc,
I studied writing of all types, and radio broadcasting and acting during my quest to earn a B.A. in Communication Arts. Today I'm starting a career as a voice actor, and I write for several sites on the net.
Not at all. You can have a degree in psychology yet be a manager, hr professional, therapist, marketing professional, etc. Yes, what you lean is used in your life, but not as much as you thought it would be usually.

If you were not in your current profession, what would you be doing?I think I would be a baker or a chef. If you got a chance to change your career, would you do it over?

Do You Think It's Ridiculous that Education Majors Become Teachers?Every time a teacher in high school introduced themselves they bragged about their degrees from some big name university and I would always ask "What was this degree in?". They reply, every single time,...

How much practical value did you derive from your education?does college make a dfference anywhere other than applying for a job? How would you compare the value of your education to what you have learned since?
