If you were not in your current profession, what would you be doing?
I think I would be a baker or a chef. If you got a chance to change your career, would you do it over?
Well for now i am a student and a freelancer writer too, my hobbies is to write on articles and hubs. As for my profession i had decided to go with my hobbies and to be a professional writer. But, it changes after hearing this question that if i would not be in my current profession, i think...........my be this.................or may be that!!.........no. May be i was a painter (my another hobby). I believe that a profession doesn't matters anything in this community called 'HubPages'. Every person is a hubber here, who writes hubs and articles but may be or may be not he or she is not in profession of writing called as "writer"
Profession shall be anything, but we are here as a hubber. Our profession is our hobby here, that is why we are here.
Cheers for HUBBERS!!
You will laugh if i will tell you my story...
In my school days i was very good at boxing However my parents wanted me become a doctor, So i did my grad in medical, then i choose Internet marketing as profession, now I'm preparing for Manager post at government bank... And my urge is towards being an Investigating officer.
Currently I cook steaks, prepare pastas, wash dishes, and close down a restaurant. If I had it my way I would get a 1 year computer certification course done (web development or A+ certification). Then I'd quit my day job and start doing computer work. In the mean time I'd keep working to establish myself as a writer, an affiliate marketer, and online re-seller. Eventually I'd be getting back in school to pursue a Bachelors of Engineering at Purdue University. Then I'd just keep learning and learning and going to school. Knowledge is a beautiful thing.
I would be some Fashion Designer
But I still can be as I not left that completely.
If i wont be in this profession, then i'd love to be a photographer.
Several things. Hiking the AT, building a micro farm, blogging more, podcasting, and working on my bucket list.
Professional landscape/travel photography would be my dream job. It would be wonderful to travel the world taking photographs and enjoying the sites of the most beautiful places in the world.
I guess I would become a businesswoman, managing my own business.
I think I would be a photographer. I would like to travel in different places and catch the every moment in my Camera...
Good question.. not sure really. I am aiming to be a filmmaker, so I am not one yet.. but I am a graphic designer right now, so if I could change my career, I would become a filmmaker. Make sense? haha
If I am not teaching then I will be painting or running a training center or tutorials. I can also do business along the line of dressmaking or garments.
This would be easier to answer I fear if my current profession was paying.
I was once told that one of the best professions to be in was the funeral trade/death trade because no matter what happens we are all destined for the same end...
Dream career? Columnist, definitely. That is what I love about hubpages. I wake up every morning thinking of things I would like to write about. There just isn't enough time in the day.
I can't imagine not teaching - it is my dream job. If there was some reason I could not teach I would like to be an over the road truck driver....would love to travel the country and get paid for it.
Interning at an animation company in my area. I went to school for animation but got a job in graphic/web design when I graduated so I'm currently sticking around there because it's a professional reference with benefits. This current job also gives me the ability to be creative in my field, which I couldn't say at the other place so that's a plus as well : )
I would be a cook at a diner or work in a deli. Something to do with food.
I'm absolutely certain I should have been Sandra Bullock or Julia Roberts. Yeah - that's the ticket . . .
I was actually thinking that at my last profession. I was a loan officer/mortgage originator depending on the state i was writing the loan in. I was licensed in ten different states and loved it... but i worked 60+ hours a week and could not see myself doing that for years especially if i have a family. SO! i quit my job and am now taking my lives savings and opening a construction/landscape design company. Something i enjoy just because the finish products look beautiful and many times last for decades GO WHERE YOUR HEART TAKES U!!!!
I'm currently a therapist, but I think if I had to do it all over again I would become an English teacher or a lawyer.
i would do other profession perfectly like i would do when i am in my own profession.
I would be a concert pianist. To me, that would be the best job in the world.
No doubt whatsoever...a stained glass artist. Since childhood I've loved visiting churches and cathedrals and being bowled over by stained glass windows. Of course you never think that you could have done these things, so it never occurred to me until I was much too old that I maybe could have.
I would probably still be stuck at a 9-5 or 6pm-2:45am that I absolutely hated. I am so blessed that I can now work from home and spend all the time I want with my son and travel when we please.
