Is it okay to provide your PayPal address to a website with non-encrypted connec

    Is it okay to provide your PayPal address to a website with non-encrypted connection?

    Will it still be safe? The connection is just http:// and not https:// so I am wondering if it's okay to provide such kind of sensitive information.

    Your paypal address is just your email address and giving out your email is not a problem at all. Now if they are asking for your email address and your password I would certainly question that.
    Most if not all payments you make through paypal will link you to paypal and allow you to complete the transaction and then bring you back to the original website to finish the process. The only one I know that keeps this information is ebay. Ebay and Paypal are owned by the same entity. If you have the website please offer it so we could see exactly what you mean.

      Thanks for the clarification. The site I'm talking about is Teckler. I tried out its platform and when I checked on its link to paypal page, it is not encrypted so I got worried a bit but what you said makes a lot of sense. Thanks.
