If you are a socialist you get onto Unemployment benefits and look for another job.
You mean if you paid into Unemployment Insurance you get it back and look for a job.
I have been unemployed for 2 months now. Well, I do consider myself a freelance writer right now. I am doing a lot more writing online for upfront money.
Money is taken out of my paycheck every month to go towards unemployment. It makes me socialist to want that money back if I were to lose my job?
Well then sign me up! Guess it's socialist to want money I worked hard for!
Regardless of who you are you find someway of staying fed and sheltered, and look for another job or comparable income source. Which is certainly what I would do.
I am without a job today - still on disability, though, for the moment. I'm updating my resume, looking at a lot of online job sites, and trying to market myself and my skills to everyone I know in the hopes that someone will be able to give me a job lead.
Try desperately NOT to lose your sanity! I have been unemployed for (8) months. The requirements today are not the same as before. Luckily when I could put money aside, I did...and that's keeping me afloat.
Buy and sell second-hand goods that you know something about. I saw a product on ebay I could have paid $1,114k for, spent $230 on and sold for 3,500 as I have many times before.
Pick something with a decent margin and specialise.
Interesting comment earnestshub and very true. I had two thriving stores throughout the 80s and 90s dealing in New and Used Sporting goods. I made a killing and profited for almost 10 yrs. A great idea when the economy is flushing itself down the toilet. Come up with creative ideas...and believe me the New and Used, mostly USED was a fantastic idea, I couldn't keep enough good quality used in my two stores. It flew out the door and the $$$ flew back in.
The margin can be great on used goods, and the game is "knowledge versus risk" one.
The more knowledge you have the more margin you make with used goods.
We all have something we know a bit about, the rest can be learned with good research.
I would focus really hard on my websites. I don't get much time to work on them now because I work a 40+ hour per week job, but I know if I were focusing 110% on them I would be making a killing.
I'll work for establishing my own company definitely.

If not the most often touted, misunderstood piece of government disinformation is the unemployment rate. It does not represent those who are not employed or those who would rather be employed than unemployed. It barely and inaccurately represents the figure of jobs created in a...

One of the final acts of the last session of Congress was passing legislation to keep extended unemployment insurance benefits for the long-term unemployed available into 2012. Their reason for doing so was, of course, to ensure that the hardest-hit victims of the ’08 economic crisis would have...

The publicly released Infrastructure bill information is the latest example of our politicians, (both parties), plainly telling us they think we are idiots. And, as in previous examples, we continue to prove them right by re-electing them."Look, here's the deal."A quick cut & paste of...
