Introduction

When we were kids we use to believe that everything was possible for us. And if someone asks us what we want to become then we would say - I want to become a doctor or an engineer.

As we grow and complete our formal education we realize that dreams are totally different from reality. A large number of students get shocked by facing the reality of life whereas a handful of them get excited.

Everyone dreams of living a successful life and give their best efforts to achieve their goals. But why only a handful of people able to achieve success while rest fail to reach their destination. Let’s see some of the reasons why people fail in achieving their goals and what are the remedies for such situations?

Let's Do It
Let's Do It

They Know Their Reasons And They Simply Start

One thing that separates successful people from unsuccessful ones is that they know what they are doing. They know where they want to reach and what all things are required to achieve their goals. And even if they struggle, still they keep on marching, they keep on learning and doing their part.

Even if you don’t know all the process of your goal then also start. Start to learn, start to implement and keep on learning and growing. For example, if you don’t know how to start a podcast channel then learn it and simply take the first step by recording and with passing time you will become an expert. So, here the remedy is to simply start.

They Value Their Time And Efforts

Successful people value their time and efforts. They know time is the only commodity which they cannot get back in life. Therefore, they don’t waste their time even for 15 minutes.

Successful people know how to spend their time well. They spend their time on the most important part of their growth. For example, during his earlier days when Mr Bill Gates was trying to build his business, he used to tie shoes and sleep at night.

During one interview, he said - he built this habit to avoid wasting 10 minutes, so he can reach meeting with investors before time. And we all know today he is one of the richest men in the world. If you will not value your time and efforts you will never be successful in life.

They Live Below Their Means

Every successful people before they become successful live below their means. In simple words, no show-off and they don’t spend more than what they earn.

For example, when we say they live below their means that actually includes the following:
a) They don’t spend more than what they earn
b) They rely more on cash instead of credit cards
c) They pay themselves first and do saving or investments
d) They cut all meaningless expenses
e) They don’t indulge in late-night parties
f) They try to establish an emergency fund

So, if you want to become successful in life understand the difference between desire and need. And live below your means till the time you become a highly successful individual.

When the student is ready, mentor will arrive
When the student is ready, mentor will arrive

They Focus On Learning And Implementing

Actually, there is no secret to becoming a successful individual. If you want to become successful you have to keep on learning and implementing new things. Search for your mentors and learn from them. You have to change as per time and technology.

For example, doctors earn a lot of money each year but do you know they also keep on learning about new medicines, medical techniques and scientific discoveries.

Mr Elon Musk is considered as a self-taught rocket scientist. How did he teach himself all about rockets? He says - he literally taught himself rocket science by reading many helpful textbooks and meeting many technical people. And today he is the founder of SpaceX, a highly successful only private company in the field of manufacturing rockets. This is the power of focus on learning and implementing.

The remedy is to focus on the most important tasks first and complete them. Once you will complete them you will get more confidence to achieve more goals.

They Prioritize Their Health

Every successful individual knows the importance of keeping himself fit and healthy. They know health is one of the greatest wealth. If you want to achieve a huge amount of success in life then give priority to your health. Whereas unsuccessful people neglect their health.

Some of the things which we can do to prioritize our health:
a) Don’t ignore proper rest and sleep
b) Drink enough water
c) Eat light and healthy foods
d) Build positive habits
e) Go for a walk or do some light physical exercise at home
f ) Read books
g) Spend quality time with family and friends
h) Listen to your favourite music to uplift your mood

These are some of the ways through which we can keep our mood and health in the best conditions.

Conclusion

If you are looking forward to become successful in life then know there is no secret. Everything depends upon your way of learning and implementing those techniques. Unless and until you will not apply what you are learning from mentors or by self you cannot be successful. Believe in yourself, give 100% efforts and work hard. Sooner or later you will be successful in your life and venture.
