An Open Blog To The Readers And The Powers That Are At Hubpages

An Open Blog To The Readers And Powers That Are At Hub-Pages

I hope that my stay at Hub-pages will be long…with the attendant success because I like the fact that I can write with the latitude of not having my blogs, augmented and buttressed by facts, being refused because of ‘political correctness.’ If anyone were to Google ‘Verily Prime,’ he or she will see that I used to be the main blogger for a particular web-site and many of my blogs/articles were refused because I dared not to walk in lockstep with the secular messiah, President Obama, on many of the issues affecting us.

I personally operate on the premise that I am not perfect and that many of you will not agree with me on the issues – but that is ok because my very father, who reads my blogs regularly, vehemently disagrees with me on most of the issues; the difference being that when dad disagrees with me, his critique is void of the ad hominem attacks I have endured in the blogosphere. But I am a big boy and anyone who was in the Army and has taken a ribbing from your fellow soldiers should be able to endure anything; moreover in law school, the Socratic Method is drilled into you to respect and try to combat the position of your opponents on the issues.

Juxtapose those in authority who will allow both or many sides of the issues to be discussed as opposed to the current biased media. The problem now is that those in the biased media do not even try to hide their bias anymore. Case in point, the media’s constant refrain is anything negative about Governor Palin – All you will hear is how much she is earning… intimating that she is greedy. Now choose any among the Liberal Titans in the media, whose agents have negotiated lucrative contracts for their respective services - are they greedy too? Katie Couric, who is the face of the CBS evening news, is said to be commanding some $15 million annually for constantly being in last place and Keith Olbermann, who makes $7 million annually, gets less ratings in prime time than Glenn Beck does at 5: pm – everyone knows that on any given day, some pet owner will record his pet doing some cute trick, then place it on You Tube and it would garner more ratings than anything one could see on the hate-fest that is MSNBC.

So again I thank the powers that be in advance who gave me access to Hub-pages to opine on the issues from my point of view. I know that freedom in its absolute is folly and that those of us who blog should do so void of threats, vitriol, and rank gossip on others personal lives. I, for one, welcome the spirited debates engendered by my blogs, and do not mind… even if you were to opine from your point of view that on this or that subject, Verily Prime is an idiot!
