Random Christene-ness

Whatever I feel like adding.

Part lensography, part biography and part, well I'm not sure.

This is my homepage which connects all of my lenses together. I share with you some of the people, and places, and things that I love.

New lenses are added every so often so make sure to come back. ;)

I'm a SquidAngel and in the Giant Squid 100 Club

I'm also a Giant Squid Greeter alum

I was one of the first Giant Squids! That title was given to lensmasters who had 50+ quality lenses by 9.4.07. They now offer a Giant status to those with 25 great lenses. You could be one of the next giants. :)

On August 13, 2008 I was recruited for Squidoo's first team of Giant Squid Greeters. Greeters keep an eye out for up and coming lensmasters who have great potential to reach Giant Status. I held the position for 6 months and am now an alum.

I was also on Squidoo's first team of SquidAngels which began April 30th 2007. I was on duty a second time in the Fall of '08, and got my wings back again on April 5, 2009 and was active through September 30, 2010. I took a short break and was back in action for the month of November 2010 and then held the position until they closed the program.

Angels were around to help good, content filled lenses rise to the top, and to knock out the spammy ones. If your lens gots blessed, you'll saw a small LensRank boost. If it got dinged, there was a small drop in LensRank.

On October 7, 2008, I made it into the Giant Squids 100 Club.

That's for Giants who have at least 100 great lenses and was, at the time, the highest ranking on Squidoo. :)

February 3, 2012 I became a Colossal Squid! (250 great lenses)

She works hard for the money

(hey now)

When I was a munchkin I used to make things and walk around the neighborhood trying to sell them. I remember painting pinecones, calling them Christmas Ornaments and going door to door.

In middle school I used to buy gum in bulk and sell it to classmates. I made a killing till I had a competitor and the teachers made us both stop selling LOL

Also while a youngin' I would go to bridge games with my dad and would be paid to caddy (no one ever knows what I'm talking about here so don't feel bad)

My mom used to do flea markets and she would give me a table to sell my things. I think I did better than her. HA

My first real job was at Boston Chicken (now called Boston Market) when I was 16. That didn't last long. Then I didn't work again till college.

During college I worked on our Campus Entertainment Network's stage crew. That was THE best job. I got paid to go to all of the concerts, comedians, and dances we had. Loved my boss and the guys I worked with and had a blast.

Intern for an Engineering firm in upstate New York

Intern for an Architect in upstate New York

Intern for a studio professor in Rhode Island

Full time Designer/Draftsman at a small firm in Massachusetts (till becoming a mommy)

Part time Architectural Consultant in a smaller firm, then for an Architect, and my husband and I currently do consulting together for various residential projects

I work very part time in our family's sheet metal shop taking care of accounts payable/receivable

I work on my CafePress and Zazzle shops

And I'm a Squid :D

Just wanted to let you know about your zazzle payment problem, there was some kind of bug that reset the tax settings. I've seen other people on the zazzle forum in the last few months with the same problem(they re-entered the tax info and then got paid), just wanted to let you know that you're not the only one who has had this problem. Sincerely hope it works out for you.

Christene I could spend hours here, excellent and very impressive lensography, WOW! I think what brought me here was 'squiddicted' :-) I mean I used that term on a new lens and wanted to link back. Then my Squiddiction took over and... hell, where WAS I? This new lens of mine is about Squidoo friends around the world (squidoo-lensmaster-locations) and I'll link to your Squiddicted lens. Hard to feature Squid friends this way because in many cases I really have no idea WHERE they are, and you fall in that category.

Christene, Thank you so much for your immediate response to my request for the 2 1/4" black background "Squiddicted" button. Because of you, I can start production of the "Manly Squid Bags". It's not often that we find someone who will stop what they are doing to help a stranger. I have linked your shop and lens to my "Squid Bag" lens.

Thanks again. You are a good person.

Wow, what an amazing amount of lenses you have!! That's awesome that you were one of the first Giant Squids. I have a long way to go, but I hope to be one someday, too. :D

My name is very similar to Christene, and I've had many people misspell and mispronounce my name over the years, too.

Almost beyond belief and am very suitably impressed and wonder how you ever found the time considering all your other commitments. Congratulations.

Very nice lens. My first name is Christopher, so I had to check out the baby name wizard. Beautiful layout - simple and elegant.

I love the way you did your lensography, 5*'s and favorite. It's a great model to go by. Thanks for the blessing and the suggestions.
