Easy Hubpage Promotion Techniques Accomplished in under 10 minutes

Updated on December 21, 2012

9 Sites that will help drive traffic to your hub

Driving traffic traffic to online articles and videos requires following several different marketing techniques and there are easy Hubpage promotion strategies that have an immediate impact to the amount of traffic a web page gets. The best thing is that it is possible to do them all in less then 10 minutes. Most of these sites have a Google Chrome extension which is certainly needed in order to help speed up the process of submitting your Hubpage link. In order to develop a long lasting presence in the search engines you will need to engage with other sites, but I make it a goal immediately after posting a hub to go through the process of submitting the link to each of these sites to get the ball rolling.

1. Facebook
2. Twitter
3. Reddit (only submit to a relevant category)
4. Digg
5. Stumble Upon
6. Pearl Trees
7. Delicious
8. Redgage
9. Imautomator

9 Excellent Hub Promotion Websites

Article Pinger - New Addition to List

A new addition to my list of super easy to use websites for quick hub promotion is Article Pinger. This website requires a basic sign up to get an account, which is free and then you can submit your hubpage which takes just a few seconds and then Article Pinger will be helping promote your blog post or in this case hubpage. Type in the name which you can copy and paste from the title, drop in your hub summary and link and hit submit to ping your page.

Facebook and Twitter - The big 2

Facebook and Twitter are the two big social networks that hubpages itself encourages you to promote your hubs with. Everytime you post a new hub a box appears with the hub URL, a short link for your hub and the icons for both twitter and facebook. These two sites help you drive traffic directly to people that are interested in what you are creating. While facebook tends to be a collection of family and friends for most people this is a great way to get some initial views of your content and hopefully a few like and maybe even a repost or two if your friends and family really like your work. Twitter on the other hand is a micro blogging site that will attract followers to your twitter account based on what you are tweeting about and how well you have promoted your twitter account. Following people that are also interested in the same topics as you are by using the search tool is a great way to expose your twitter account and subsequently your hubs to people that might like your content. These two should be done immediately upon finishing your hub and if you are already logged into your accounts the second you click the share button your content will be shared to your communities.

News Submissions Sites Reddit and Digg

I personally have been more successful getting traffic from the Reddit community than digg, however your experiences may differ. It is very important that you submit your link to the right sub reddit within reddit in order to not be down voted to oblivion extremely quickly. Take the time to learn ths sites and how to engage with the other users in order to maximize your experience with these news submission sites. Submitting the link and entering in your summary as a description and your titles should take no more than a minute or two.

Social Bookmarking Sites

Social Bookmarking sites let you place unique URL's into a list of sites you like or into a collection of links that are about a specific topic. The three social bookmarking sites that are fairly easy to use and very easy to create a community of friends within are Stumble Upon, Delicious, and Pearl Trees. There are tons more social bookmarking services out there Blink list being another one i like, however these three are quick to use from a browser if you have the extension installed. Using extensions is a huge help for making bookmarks and engaging with social network communities.

It is important to find others that like similar content as yourself. Become there friends and ask for friendship back if needed.

Increase Visibility in Search Engines w/ SEO

2 Additional Sources for Hub Promotion

Redgage is a great place to submit your link or a short synopsis of your hub as a blog post with a link inside of the blog post. You can also list URL's in your profile of specific websites / hubs that you want to promote on your redgage account.

Imautomator has a cool social bookmarking submission tool that has a free version. Unless you plan on needing to submit more than 10 links a day you will never need to purchase the pro version. Pro version submits your links to more sites and has several other SEO tools, however the free version of Imautomator will help get your hubpage out there and assist in getting your page indexed for the keywords you are focusing on.

Next time you write a hub make sure and promote it at least with these 9 proven websites that help get your hub indexed in Google for the keywords that you are seeking. Have fun promoting your hub and feel free to post in the comments any other bookmarking sites or places you like to list your hubpage URL's to drive more traffic to your pages.

Interesting listing, definitely! I use http://empireavenue.com to attract viewers to my HUBs with success. It requires good social media activity or good trade talent or at least some dollars to buy virtual currency. Lets try to get some Empire Avenue Eaves and spend them in a mission, where You can attach permalink and mission description (for example sharing some love on soc. media). But be aware of misuse, it is not automatic traffic driver, it helps to spread a word about new hubpage only - enroll the mission for example for 100 viewers only. Best Regards to all readers of this HUB.

Just got informed that ImAutomator is ending the free version so now it's a paid product only. It's not expensive by any means but just thought you guys would want to know this.

I want to thank you for writing this hub. I dove into the Hub Pages pool yesterday with my first article. I've looked at the basics, and am now looking at the promotional part. A great, hairy puzzle to complete. I know I'll need a lot of patience, but I am happy to see so many helpful and generous-minded Hubbers like you who are willing to help.

Thanks for your response, CZCZCZ. I totally agree with you. As it really takes only seconds, what can we lose by utilizing the service? They sure have made it very easy for us.

To those with questions regarding IMautomator. While the bookmarking sites that it hits and submit your link to might not be the best the whole internet has to offer, it takes a few seconds to submit the url to. Not sure the overall value it provides, but it does send the link to several different places. It is just one of dozens of different tools and websites out there. This hub was focused on looking at items that were easy to do, either have a in browser extension or small requirements on the submit form to submit the page to. I think a lot of people look at page promotion as something that is difficult and just wanted to provde some examples of sites and services that I use that I feel are very easy to do.

On a side note while the bookmarking service from iMautomator may be difficult to track because of their reporting, I have used the paid version in the past and those tools did give live links for like the article submitter etc, that could be clicked and viewed. I stopped being a paid subscriber long time ago because I didn't have the volume that warranted the paid services, but for the minute or two it takes to do the free version I feel it is not a waste of time.

Thanks, Linda. Yes, I really like the way IMAutomator works. It literally just takes a few seconds. Will continue to use the system. Who knows, perhaps there is some benefit.

I am not seeing anything from IMAutomator itself. However, when I look at tracking information, I am getting unusual URLs which are not hub pages, ezine articles, free traffic exchanges etc. I look at it this way:

I don't have to surf for points.

It takes seconds to post my site or article.

Do you find that you get results with IMAutomator, CZCZCZ? I have been using the free version for a while, but I am not sure if it is worth it.
