In an English course at Villanova University in 1981, Maria interviewed her mom, who likened her to Barbara Walters. She never looked back.

Introducing Vinaya ....

I greatly enjoy following the writing of my friend, Vinaya Ghimire. Whether poetry, fiction, thoughtful essay or research on human behavior and motivation, I am always delighted and intrigued by what I read from his corner.

Read on and take a look into some fascinating thoughts from Vinaya:

The times I'm most creative ....

After my meditation routine that is between 11PM to 2AM.

The times I'm most joyful ....

In the morning when I wake up at 9AM, because I have one more day to live.

Something I'd like to learn to do ....

Movie making techniques. I want to adapt some of my short stories into movies.

My secret talent ....

I can talk for hours in a private circle, which is not a talent actually.

Best gift I ever gave someone ....

I said I give you the master key to my life, but she did not accept.

Best gift I ever received from someone ....

A letter of appreciation from my father's friend when I published my first book.

My dream dinner date ....

Drinking coconut water and eating banana with the love of my life in an uninhabited island.

My favorite vacation spot .... paradise destination ....

Everest Base camp. The Everest reminds me how vulnerable we are at the hands of nature.

Something I got rid of and never missed ....

Chauvinism .

Something I fear ....

Hatred between the cultures.

What I most despise in others ....

If you peeked in my closet, you'd be surprised to find ....

A bottle of whiskey (My family tradition does not allow me to drink openly).

What song feels like the story of your life ...?

"Another Brick in the Wall " by Pink Floyd.

This song exactly explains how the society gags me, and limits my freedom.

Some advice to my younger self ....

Only if you had understood the value of time.

The best part of getting older ....

I see myself getting wiser.

Best advice to a new writer ....

Attend a writing program, where you not only learn the writing techniques but also meet aspiring writers like you.

My favorite book and why ....

"Tantric Visions of the Divine Feminine" by David Kinsley.

I love this book because the author presents comprehensive study of Hindu Goddesses, which is the subject of my interest.

What are you best at writing about ...

I think I'm good at writing newspaper articles.

What would be an area that would challenge your current writing efforts ....

I have started a couple of novel projects but been unable to complete. I wish to take a break and finish at least one of my novels.

Can you take us to your favorite piece of writing on HubPages ....

What Happens When the Fourteenth Dalai Lama Dies

Though the hub has not been able to accumulate good traffic, I consider this as my best piece because Tibetian Buddhism is my subject of interest and I put lots of research to write this article.

Thank you, Vinaya ....

"A Song for You" is my Temptations song for you...!

I send you every positive wish that one day a beautiful lady will accept the master key to your life, Vinaya.
