Great hubs are written by even greater hubbers

Updated on June 21, 2015

It takes a very special person to write a hub here on the good old hub pages. It takes a great person and their imagination to write a great hub. Writing isn't something that should be taken for granted. Yes it's true that you have to be educated first, before you can even think about writing. But to sit down and put your thoughts onto a format for others to see and read takes courage. It takes courage because others who read your work here on the hub pages can in turn leave a positive or negative comment about your hard thought out work. You never know just how others are going to take what you wrote until you scroll down to the comment section for that big surprise. Often one finds nothing waiting in return for their time, effort, and hard work, but that's just a gamble one takes. Not receiving a comment can be very disappointing to the writer. I'm fairly new here, but I have taken the time to read as many hubs as I can, and I will continue to do so. I have seen really big and long hubs. I've seen hubs with a lot of colorful pictures, which really can spice up your writing for others. There are instructional, cooking, and poetry hubs to name just a few. There are hubbers with over a thousand hubs, and those with just one hub. None of this matters as long as someone else rewards your time and work by reading what you have to say, and when you come right down to it anybody can write a hub! When I first originally wrote this hub back in December of 2010, I had listed below over a dozen hubs that set themselves apart from the rest. However since that time 25% of those hubs have become unpublished for various reasons. So instead of unpublishing this hub myself, I decided to remove the remaining links and simply dedicate this hub to all the great hubs which have been written throughout the hub pages. Keep on hubbing.......................

This hub gives impression that it has been written by the official staff of the Hubpages! Just kidding. Title and content of the hub compel a viewer to read from top to bottom.

This was interesting and im glad I found this! I haven't shared my writing ever and writing is one of my biggest strengths, at least academically that always proved true. Its fun to read what other people have to say as well as see what people are interested in. The other day one of my friends called and I was so enthralled by everything available I stayed in instead of going out to spend money I dont have on drinks I dont need, my point though is :D great hub goody

I agree, it takes a lot of courage to put ourselves out there. The first time I hit "publish" I was so nervous, mostly about the feedback I would receive. However, as Grandma used to say "there's a lid for every pot" People have been so kind, still bracing for the bad days but I'm sure they will come with growth and knowledge so it's all good.

I haven't been here very long but I find HubPages to be interesting. It seems like a fun place to interact with others and learn new things at the same time. Every one has something to share and you are never too old to stop learning. I really like your illustration. Very creative!!

It seems to be the thing that sets HubPages apart from any other writing community, the feedback! Voted up and interesting!

It's easy to judge one self epigramman, but it's so much more rewarding for others to judge you in a positive way.

...well it's probably safe to say that no one here at the Hub (or anywhere else) writes quite like the epigramman - lol lol - I have a real wild new one for you coming tomorrow - right now I'm drinking some beer with that blonde in your other hub - lol lol - and yes from what I can see so far - your hubs (and writing) are witty, charming, irreverent and lots of fun - in other words just plain hubtastic!!!!!

It was my pleasure to list you both in "the dozen that stand out" to me on the entire hub pages. Keep up all the good work and don't stop writing. Thank you both so much for following me.

Its definitely alot of fun to write hubs and share your feelings or experiences or stories with others and an even greater reward to read the comments people leave for you! Im really enjoying being a "hubber"! Thanks for listing one of my hubs as a "great" hub! That made my day! Merry Christmas to you!
