Great hubs are written by even greater hubbers
It takes a very special person to write a hub here on the good old hub pages. It takes a great person and their imagination to write a great hub. Writing isn't something that should be taken for granted. Yes it's true that you have to be educated first, before you can even think about writing. But to sit down and put your thoughts onto a format for others to see and read takes courage. It takes courage because others who read your work here on the hub pages can in turn leave a positive or negative comment about your hard thought out work. You never know just how others are going to take what you wrote until you scroll down to the comment section for that big surprise. Often one finds nothing waiting in return for their time, effort, and hard work, but that's just a gamble one takes. Not receiving a comment can be very disappointing to the writer. I'm fairly new here, but I have taken the time to read as many hubs as I can, and I will continue to do so. I have seen really big and long hubs. I've seen hubs with a lot of colorful pictures, which really can spice up your writing for others. There are instructional, cooking, and poetry hubs to name just a few. There are hubbers with over a thousand hubs, and those with just one hub. None of this matters as long as someone else rewards your time and work by reading what you have to say, and when you come right down to it anybody can write a hub! When I first originally wrote this hub back in December of 2010, I had listed below over a dozen hubs that set themselves apart from the rest. However since that time 25% of those hubs have become unpublished for various reasons. So instead of unpublishing this hub myself, I decided to remove the remaining links and simply dedicate this hub to all the great hubs which have been written throughout the hub pages. Keep on hubbing.......................
