How to Increase the Page Views of Your Blog or Website?
Increasing the number of page views of your website, blog or Hub is a very important thing, especially when you are writing to make money. Even if you are not writing for money, then also you should try that the readers should read more and more articles at your Hub, blog etc.
Here I am giving some simple tricks that will increase the number of page views at you Hub.
Visitors and Page Views
The number of visits and the number of page views are two different things. When a surfer on net comes to your Hub through search engines or other sources, it is considered as a visit and counted as a single page view. When the visitor clicks on other internal links on your Hub and visit other pages, that are called as more page views. Thus if a visitor visits your site and for example clicks on 4 internal links, there are total 5 page views. If a visitor just visits you Hub, and go away from it without visiting other pages there, it is known as a bounce visit.
Increasing Your Page Views
Now if you want to increase the number of page views, you have to decrease the bounce rate. To decrease it, the visitors must hang around your hubs. This can be done easily by
1. Writing different Hubs on related subjects under same niche.
2. Linking related Hubs with one another.
Once you do this, the visitors will visit more than one Hub pages. It is like the display of books in book shops. A buyer would buy more books if they are displayed. And if the books are not displayed, the buyer will buy a book he wants and then quit the shop.
Internal Linking Examples
There are many ways to link pages. Please read a detailed Hub on it at How to Link Your Hubs. Here I am giving one of the ways to link the pages.
One of my favorite subjects of writing is philately. Under this niche, I have written 7 Hubs so far. Here is the list of the Hubs related to philately.
First Mahatma Gandhi Stamps India 1948
Apollo 11 Mission Postage Stamps
Now click on the first Hub Collecting Stamps: My School Days Hobby. You will find that I have linked 4 related Hubs to it at the end. (See the image below)
Now, if someone searching for articles on Collecting Stamps and lands on my Collecting Stamps: My School Days Hobby HUb, he will see the links to other related Hubs at the end of this Hub. It is most likely that he will click on the links to visit the related Hubs. Thus, the number of page views will increase.
Now suppose the visitor clicks on the link Mahatma Gandhi stamp and visits that Hub there also he will find links to other related Hubs. (See the image below). Here too I have linked some Hubs on philately, but there is one Hub that is not about philately, but Jainism, another niche. I have linked it because it is about Gandhi. Here, the visitor may go to another group of topics at my Hubpages.
