I have a silly question....I know I've made hubs and so on, but what exactly is that i'm doing it for?
Here's your profile page, you can find links to hubs you posted there: http://hubpages.com/profile/sandradebusk
You can also read Hubpages' FAQ, so you'll get a general idea what this is all about.
You asked why exactly are you even posting hubs... well, I don't know about you, but I'm doing it for several things.
First, on Hubpages I can write about some random topic, which for me is very nice considering how I'm always trying to find ideas about blogs but can't ever stick to one topic, so I usually give up before I even start.
Second, sometimes I can slip in links to my own websites or blogs, or make a post and put in my affiliate links (like in this hub), I'm always hoping someone might sign up some day.
Third, AdSense. I can't say I don't care about it. It's the thought of making some money that makes me do websites, blogs, hubs and similar. I'm not particularly succesfull in this, nor do I ever want to be. I just want to earn a decent living on all this, and I'm hoping Hubpages will contribute a little to my monthly earnings. I've read one of your hubs, and it seems you can understand what I'm talking about; each dollar helps.
Now, since you said you love writing, I'll assume you already have a blog or two. If not, now's the time to make some. Put a link to your profile on Hubpages somewhere on your blogs, it will help those hubs get indexed faster so you should see some traffic from search engines soon. Also, whenever you write a new hub, link to some other hubs of yours which have similar topic. You noticed how I did it? :)
I hope this answers some of your questions. If you have more, feel free to comment and I'll try to answer the best I can.
Good luck to you and your family :)
