Are you Looking for Help?

If you're looking for help on Hubpages with a question, first try the FAQs. If you don't find an answer there, consult either the Help Wizard or the Learning Center. The Help Wizard is an excellent source for finding solutions to technical problems. Several hubs have been written on a variety of topics related to Hubpages which can be searched for solutions.

The forum is also a great place to post questions and receive quick help from the Hubpage community. Once you have become experienced on Hubpages, you might think about stopping at the forum from time to time to provide solutions to unanswered questions by other Hubbers.

Helpful Hubbers

It is really cool how people help others out. Writing on Hubpages can be very intimidating; not only for a new hubber, but also for everyone. It seems that just when I get enough experience to feel comfortable with my abilities on Hubpages, some road block comes out of left field to stumble me. Maybe you feel the same way?

This month I've had a goal to write one hub every day. With my three children it seems like the result has been one hub ever-other day. However, this week one of my hubs was unfeatured for quality reasons; a hub that I'd written in the same manner as all my other featured hubs. So, the question of quality has been stumbling me quite badly. It's frustrating when a hub is unfeatured. Like a road block, now I don't have the desire to write any new hubs until the problem is fixed with my unfeatured hub.

Getting Help in the Forums

I posted a question in my feed asking for help from other hubbers and so many suggestions were given to me in less than 24 hours. "This is my first unfeatured hub. What are the steps to follow to correct errors & make it featured?" I wanted to know what they thought was wrong with my hub in order to fix the errors and get it featured.

Immediately, suggestions started pouring in from helpful hubbers. One of the first hubbers to answer my question was Bravewarrior. I can not tell you how many times she has been the first responder on the scene (if you will) to offer her advise and wisdom. If there ever were an award for most helpful hubber where it comes to quickly answering my questions, Bravewarrior wins! I am so thankful for all of the valuable information that she has freely shared with me over this past year.

Other Ways to help Hubbers

Other than answering forum questions, there are so many other ways to help other hubbers in the Hubpages community that you might not have thought about. By helping other hubbers, we can all help each other to succeed.

  • Hop some hubs by rating other's work in your free time. This button is located on your account page at the top.
  • Read fellow hubber's articles. Staying on a hubbers page long enough to read it will leave an impression that should help them get paid for their work.
  • After you read your fellow hubber's article, answer their polls, rate their recipes, and comment at the bottom with your feedback. We all learn and grow by feedback.
  • Link to other hubs. Place a link in your hub that leads to another hubber's article that is related to the topic that you are writing about. This is good karma for your hub score.
  • As I already mentioned above, go to the forums section and respond to unanswered questions. You might be surprised when you know the answer to a lot of them.
  • Did you find a particular article on Hubpages that you enjoyed? Share it with your friends on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, or any other social networks that you use.

I think the Q & A is awesome especially if your not familiar with the other help resources. The Q & A is also perfect for getting to know the writers as people here on HubPages , not to mention inspirational ideas for topics to write about. Lastly if your computer is very out of date and you assume [never should assume but I do oops 8-)] that, oh idk pictures are miffed when trying to add them into my hub on account of the dino pc, so no need to look in other areas to confirm or deny this, only to find it's a community issue right there on Q & A. It is a nice effect of Q&A I think, and all simply just from asking, answering , or just reading to read. 8-) TY4the link 2 theWizard, was unaware of this help.

Thank you very much Melinda. I actually wasn't aware that everyone could only see one hub, so you're post is super helpful. I have been constantly editing my hubs so hopefully they will up to speed soon. thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and check my content though, I really really appreciate it.

Emi, welcome to Hubpages. I am so glad that you stopped by. Hopefully some of the other hubbers will be able to offer some helpful pointers that you are seeking. The main thing that I see is that you have six 6 hubs. Only one of those hubs are featured. That means that we can only see that one particular hub. I would work on getting your other five hubs up to speed so that they will be featured and therefore searchable by others. Let us know if you have any specific questions and we will pitch in to help you with your journey. :-) Sincerely, Mel

Hello, I am a new hubber and I really enjoyed this article. I would appreciate any tips/advice that any one can offer me. I am very motivated to become a successful hubber, but I know everything takes time and I'm willing to put forth the effort. If anyone has time to drop by some of my hubs and leave some of their amazing constructive criticism, I would be very appreciative, and I would love to check out your hubs too!

Yes, CatherineGiordano. Thank you for checking on it. ;-) It was featured after several days of working on it with the helpful suggestions of other hubbers. So thankful that I can move on from that point now. LoL Glad that you were able to get the AdBlock fixed on your hub as well. Thank you for stopping by today & have a wonderful hump day (wednesday). Sincerely, Mel

I hope you got your hub featured. I'm new here myself so far everything featured and nothing unfeatured. I once had an AdBlock because I used a picture from an artwork in a museum that had a naked woman in it. I changed the picture and the block was removed.

I have been given heaps of help from a former Squidoo lens mistress who swapped to HUB pages. She set up a forum and sends me gmail messages. Pity I can't acknowledge her here.

Melinda, first I want to thank you for mentioning me. You're sweet. I do it because I've received help from this wonderful community and want to pay it forward when I can. Another way I try to spread the love is by hitting the H+ button in addition to the social shares. When I find a new hubber I really like or an article I really like, I share with my HP followers.

Well, we're glad you are here, Melinda. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for helpful hubbers three years ago, and now I do everything I can to reach out and help others.
