Most Searched Keyword - Day 5 Update

Updated on October 4, 2011

Day 5 Ranking Update

Here's an update to my hub about How to Find Most Searched Keywords for your Hub Page.

Background:

On May 15th I published a hub on finding keywords for your hub page. In addition to publishing the page, I also posted a bookmark to Xomba, Snipsly, and She Told Me on the very same day.

Today on May 20th, I checked Google to see if and where my article ranked. If you look at the picture above, you can see I typed in my keyword phrase, "Most Searched Keywords" into a Google search page. Low and behold it is ranked #32! You can see from the top arrow that it is on the 4th page in the 2nd slot. For those who don't know, page 1 is #'s 1 to 10, Page 2 is #'s 11-20 etc. I am on page 4 so the rank is #32.

Now that is not on the money page. The money page would be a top 10 ranking but it is a pretty good number for getting indexed and ranked that high in just 5 days.

I took a quick look at the hub page hits report for this article and the majority of the traffic comes from within hub pages. I would expect that to change once I get closer to a top 10 ranking but time will tell. Check back for my next update.

In the Money?

Now to answer the most relevant question, have I made any money off this yet? Probably not because this is not on the money page. The money page would be a top 10 ranking but it is a pretty good number for getting indexed and ranked that high in just 5 days.

Final Thoughts

While these results suggest that the method may have some merit, certainly, some of the credit goes to Hub Pages itself. With such a high PR ranking and their commitment to policing the articles for quality content, Google thinks pretty highly of what gets published here.

I am still cautiously optimistic but like I said before, time will tell!
