My Fifth Month at Hubpages
As you may have noticed, I did not publish a 4th month review - I started my new job and I have had my hub time significantly reduced. I still managed to publish 8 hubs in my 4th month but generated only 1.53$ in revenue. Adsense only gave me five cents so most of that revenue was from hubAds.
Anyhow, in this fifth month I have only written two hubs, Peripheral Man Episode 3 and Inane Episode 29. These are the easiest hubs for me to write because they require very little research. The Inane hubs especially I can whip out in about twenty minutes so I could write lots of those. I'm not convinced that the market for them is all that great, especially considering my most busy inane hub in terms of total lifetime visits has only had 76 visits since it was published in June.
I now take the train to and from work every day, about a 30 minute ride each way. I will try to do a better job in my sixth month of hub pages to take advantage of that time to write. My limiting factor is that I do not have a mobile internet plan that would allow me to do research while commuting, so I'll have to do the research when I can but reserve the actual writing for that time. Do you make use of commuting time to write? Let me know in the comments.
In terms of traffic and revenue, this month I've had 512 pageviews, 293 HubAd Impressions, $1.75 of HubAd revenue, 257 Adsense views and 0 clicks giving me $0.02 for a total of $1.77.
So I won't be able to read as much, the hubs of others, or write as much, but I will try to get back to coming to Hubpages on a regular basis, even if it is only for ten or twenty minutes at a time. If I can do that, hopefully I'll see an increase in my traffic and revenue.
How are you doing in whatever month you are at?
