My new Hubpages Home

Updated on March 10, 2011

Author: W. K. Hayes

Welcome home to Hubpages

The advice given is only worth the advice taken. In less than a week, I have met so many people who are generous with their advice and I truly enjoy hearing their ideas. Being the person that I am, I can see their hearts shining through their words and everyone has made me feel as though I finally found my home

Hubpages, above all other websites, has given me the opportunity to meet a lot of good people. Many are humorous or reflectively, deep. Maybe it is because I am new but I have yet to meet one person with a bad attitude. Everyone here is kind, polite and very uplifting.

One of my questions recently, was if I could speak of passion without offending anyone. Very quickly, I got my first reply and one that was very positive and encouraging.

There was a time that I felt such words were to be kept as a private and intimate part of the relationship. Since then, I realize that when the heart sings its songs through words, that song is meant for the world to hear and we should sing it with a loud voice.

Another part of Hubpages that I have really have come to enjoy is reading everyone else’s work, as I find time. There is an amazing amount of gifted and talented writers, from around the world . Their articles are inspiring, their advice is the record of Wisdom, itself and they truly are, Word Benders.

If you love writing, have no fear…you have found your way home. Whether you want to write an entire book’s worth of a hub, (blog) or if poetry is your passion, you are welcomed. Hubpages also covers: Advice, Journalism, How-to’s, Short Stories and everything else that is literary in nature.

If you do decide to join, always be nice each other. Criticism is welcomed when given respectfully. Avoid cutting people down. I’ve learned that the, “Hubbers”, are not here to bring each other down. Instead, they are the wings of the Angels that will carry you up into the heavens. Treat the Angels wrong, and they’ll drop you in mid-flight.

Many of the Hubbers on Hubpages are seasoned writers with published works, like myself. To quote one of my acquaintances on here, “I think of myself as a professional writer since I am published”.

I’ve also recognized several literary agents within the Hubpages and I will warn you…hurt their feelings and you will quickly find your book sitting in their trash can. That may sound harsh but I’m fairly certain no agent wants to work with anyone who is arrogant and selfish by nature.

Ultimately, be kind and welcome home where, Hubpages gives you a chance to share your voice in the greatest of ways and to the people behind the scenes of this website, I sincerely thank you. Have a great day!

Well I saw you following someone I follow who commented on one of my hubs - as happens so frequently on HubPages. The networking happens spontaneously.

I totally agree that it is a welcoming site where friendships can and do honestly develop. If anyone is offended by passion (and I haven't encountered that) - the choice is always to either read a hub or let it be. There may be other issues which cause a b it of dissension, but they, too, are rare. I've found Hubbers to be willing to generously look at more than one viewpoint.

So welcome aboard and I must read more of your hubs!

Very well put. Very poetic in it's own sense. I hope you feel welcome here. We are all like family. I always write about passion and my own experience which comes from my heart. I am not perfect. Who is? I appreciate all of my followers and their comments. I wish you many blessings here.
