The Night Before Christmas Eve HubNugget

Twas the night before Christmas Eve and all through HubLand,

Nothing was going the way anyone planned.

The decorations were in boxes, the tree it was bare,

And wherever you looked no spirit was there.

Maddie was tired and Patty was bummed,

The whole krewe was wishing that Christmas was done.

Ennelle and RedElf were not purring at all,

They snarled and they hissed at shadows on the wall.

Ripplemaker and ladyjane were fighting over tape,

Oh what a gigantic mess they would make.

The Christmas wrap was wrinkled and torn, thrown in a wad,

It was laying right there where everyone trod.

Simone and KKG were looking for the to-do list,

they just couldn't find it, it's like it didn't exist.

Something landed on the bare tree chuckling with glee,

It was funny and blue, what could it be?

The tree toppled over and up he did jump,

And landed on his feet with a great big thump.

"I'm Jason your angel for Christmas this year,

It's time to pull yourselves together and find you some cheer."

The girls they all stared, they giggled and gawked,

"What are you doing in a dress? they merrily mocked.

"I know you're exhausted, you've worked hard all year,

There's people depending on everyone here.

What's the matter with you, I don't understand,

You don't even have your tree in a stand.

It's just not like you, you're always so jolly

Where the heck are your decorations

and your Christmas holly?

It looks like the Grinch that stole Christmas has gotten to you,

Give me a minute to think what we can do.

I've got it he said with a nod and a wink,

Christmas music is the answer, or so I do think."

With a wave of his wand and a beating of wings,

The room filled with music you couldn't help but sing.

The girls grew so merry as they all tapped their toes,

The magical music chased away all their woes.

They hung all the lights and the ornaments with care,

On the poor little tree that had formally been bare.

The gifts they were sorted and wrapped quick as a wink,

And the to-do list appeared right there on the sink.

The girls were delighted and full of good cheer,

They finally were glad that Christmas Day was growing so near.

They looked at the room and were really quite happy,

A moment ago it had really looked crappy.

What had been the matter they didn't quite know,

It must have been the Grinch that had filled them with woe.

They now were quite jolly and more like themselves,

They were thankful they were no longer grouchy old elves.

They gathered together to give out their wishes

To all those in Hubland for a wonderful Christmas.
