What Type Of Hubs Make Money On Hubpages

Updated on June 16, 2011

Making Money Online

Making money online or making money from home has taken over the internet. It's so easy to fall for scams. That's why I am so happy that I found Hubpages. I wasn't looking for a way to earn money but rather a place to write. However, making money online and writing about what you want is possible at Hubpages. So the question that most hubbers have is what type of hubs make money.

What type of hubs make money?

This comes from my personal experience. Other hubbers may have other ideas.

I started writing about anything and everything. I read up on as much tips that other hubbers gave out as I could in the short time that I have been here. I wanted to share my knowledge and one of the things I know about is food. I'm Italian and a stay at home mom. So I shared quite a few of my recipes.

Recipes are a great way to get traffic to your site. Everyone knows that the key to making money is to get traffic. So I wrote a few of my recipes just to share with everyone. Next thing I knew, without even researching key words or anything else, one of my recipe hubs was on the front page of google. I also was getting about 60 views a day on it.  So naturally, I got a few clicks. The best part was when someone bought some of the kitchen appliances from one of those recipe hubs. This was great for me! So my first type of hub that makes money is recipes.

Product Reviews

After researching more on how to make money with hubpages, I came across quite a few people saying product review. So in turn, I have written a few. I have since received quite a few clicks. You want to write product reviews about popular products. My best have been things such as baby products or video game products. Anything that you know works or didn't work, makes a product hub.

So now you know my two money making hub topics. Now that you do, it's time to write. Have fun!

Good to know pageantgirl. I read early on from Mark Knowles that he loved writing recipe hubs but didn’t make any money off of them. But I’m guessing you and I have more modest goals about making money than Mark. Also I didn’t think I was interested in product reviews thinking lots of research only to find that I would have to write about products I had no interest in. There are 3 adults in our household with diverse interests. I’m sure I can take a stab at some product reviews. Glad I ran across your hub in lyricsingray’s forum thread.

Most of the products that I have used are either baby stuff or game things. Anything that you use can be used as a product review hub, even down to the shampoo you use. It's worth a shot since there are so many people that look for product reviews anymore. I know that we searched as many reviews as we could for the refrigerator that we needed. Hmm that would be a good idea for a hub ;)

You've written quite a few hubs in a short time. I always feel like I know so little about products. Seriously. I feel most women have an advantage in this area.

I like the fact that your Hubs are pithy. Well written, too.
