How does mail.yahoo.com end up being a 'traffic source'?Just curious.

    How does mail.yahoo.com end up being a 'traffic source'?Just curious.

    I've also seen swagbucks.com as a traffic source and don't really understand these as sources? Anybody know? Thanks

    It just means that someone sent your link in the mail to someone from yahoo.com mail; and then someone from that link looked at your hub.

    Rejoice, be very happy, someone you probably don't know is spreading your links for you. 

    The swagbucks thing, I've seen that one too, but I've never looked at that site to know WTF it is.

    Using Swagbucks.com, you can earn free products for surfing the net. So, someone must have accessed your hubs through Swagbucks system.

    I get a daily list of all the new hubs that my friends write on Hubpages. I have Yahoo mail and I'd assume it shows up on their traffic reports.

    Your friends may also get them.

    may be direct traffic by link sharing from one to another or

    by bulk mail service and this way is a little scam by collecting a huge list of mail let's say 20k email and use POP option of yahoo to send bulk mail "paid service" with your blog or your site or hubpage you will get at least 10% means 2000 visitor.

    there is also a legal way by make the visitor register at your blog by email to send updates to him.
