What is the best way to set up effective page backlinks to our Hubs?
In fact, what is a page backlink and how do you set them up? Are there any Google unfriendly methods to avoid?

Thanks Saintodd, I'm starting my research right now. I'm running solely on content right now.

My aim at hubpages is to earn an average of $500 or more per month in a years time. Right now I have 165 hubs and earn between $20-$30. I wanted to know if I can achieve my goal in a years time or less if I concentrate on keyword and good topic selection and don't do any backlinking.

Having been on HP now for more than four years while kinda' inactive for the last two I am looking more closely. I have cleaned up my portfolio from over 100 hubs with low views to now about 10. I had a lean of writing more for self than as a business venture seeking a niche. Now, I am looking more...
