How many of your hubs are listed as idle?
Will you re-work them or unpublish them so that you can post them somewhere else?
I have 60 hubs total & 13 of them are idle. Some I might tweak, while others I'll just leave "as is".
I'm not sure how well everyone else is doing keeping all of their hubs active, but I think I'm doing pretty good with only about 1/6th of them sleeping.... I could be wrong though, who knows.
None are idle so far. I have gone back since I've learned more and done some tweaking here and there on all of my hubs, adding photos, images and videos, etc., double-checking spelling and grammar and typos, but I just joined in April, so I do not have hundreds of hubs to go back and tweak, which may be why I do not have any idle ones. Although, I do have some that had hardly any comments, and that is when I first started hubbing and no one knew me. It is good now with the new profile page that one can highlight hubs when one first began hubbing, after tweaking those a bit, and see if they do get anymore traffic. Idle must not mean zero traffic, as I would think some of mine would be idle. So, it must mean something else for some reason that I am not sure of at the moment.
I had one and updated it with photos, rearranged the capsules and added content. I will have to keep checking on all hubs as times goes by.
I only have 5 hubs for now (as a new Hubpage comeback), 2 of them were written 2 years ago and labeled Zzz idle, I edited and replaced photo, after 2 days they were featured again. I guess we just have to update our idle hubs and promote them for the traffic to increase.
Out of 96 published hubs, 3 are idled. When I get a chance I'll see what I can do to update them a little One of them is only 2 months old, so I'm wondering why it's been idled since Hubpages Learning Center says it takes a minimum of 6 months for a hub to get much attention.
I have quite a few that are listed as idle, myself. All of the creative writing, really, and some others that have to do with HubPages. I think that tweaking some just might do the trick but even if the system puts it back into the pool,so to speak, it needs to acquire the traffic so that it will not go back to sleep again. I'd like to find a way to do that without having to always go back to a certain hub more often than I'd like.
Out of 25 hubs I don't have any Zzz'd hubs thankfully.
In all honesty I have about three that should be because they either get almost no traffic, the topic the hub covers is irrelevant or they just are not very good in my opinion. I have considered deleting them before this idle feature was introduced but I hate to as they all have some Google PageRank which seems to me to mean that Google likes them at least a little bit and they are not hurting my subdomain. One of these hubs won me a hubnugget so I'm afraid if I were to delete it I might lose that accolade.
I believe because I made an effort from day one here to include relevant pictures, RSS feeds, videos and polls within my hubs has helped me to escape the evil little Zzz's. I do believe this idle feature is heavily weighted towards the traffic aspect.

It seems I may have placed this message in the wrong place ... so I'm posting it here:When HubPages designates a hub as "idle" does it still treat that hub the same as active hubs? Does HubPages still keep the statistics page up-to-date? Do they still check for broken links, violations,...

I keep on getting hubs idled despite tweaking them, changing titles and adding better keywords. I have got used to moving them to other sites such as Wizzley, Xobba and InfoBarrel but it seems to be an ongoing problem. If I keep on moving my idled hubs eventually I will hardly have any left!

I never thought I would ask that but having just looked at the large number of hubs now classified as Idle in my account why should I write any more, and what am I do with all of those already here? A lot of them are good quality writings I know because they had previously been published in hard...

An ongoing topic I've seen over the years I've been on Hubpages is "How do I make my low traffic hubs better."I saw it again today in a Hub Pro thread (if you haven't already, should definitely opt in - it was a fantastic experience.)My best advice to anyone who is writing online is:If it...

So I've deleted all of the idled hubs so far and am wondering when I will have none left. I'm not going to edit anymore until I see some sort of improvement in traffic. Too much trouble for no results at all. With all of the scrapers and with HP's brilliant program I'll soon have...
