How many hubs did you have when you made your first penny with google adsense? How long did it take?
To be honest. It's not necessarily the 'amount of hubs' you have. But more the amount of 'traffic' that you are receiving. I had a quick chance to look over your profile. You've been on for a month. You've written a nice amount of hubs in that time, but you have yet to hit even a thousand views. So you're still in the early stages. Focus more on your content, traffic, and getting yourself out there on the web. Keep writing more great articles, and I'm sure you'll see results soon enough Good luck.
I can't remember exactly, think within a week and I had a few hubs? As previously said it's more about the content than the number of hubs. My best advise would be to write about what you know first, this way you can create quality hubs, then if you want to test the waters on other categories, write a hub or two for different categories until you find what is best for you. Some people remove hubs that do not bring in much traffic, however I don't see the point in removing a hub even if it only brings in 100 views a month that's still 100 views.
Currently I have 14 hubs and get around 50-75 views a day across them, but I also have not really done any promoting other than sharing them on facebook/twitter after publishing. I just recently came back on here, I don't think I really been on since around May. I'm not looking into different ways to promote my hubs.

Optimizing Hubs: how many hubs do you have that get 100 page views a day?I thought I was doing well until I read the latest exhortation from HP staff to analyse my hubs. Evidently a hub is only thought to be doing well if it gets 100 ‘hits’ a day. Uh-oh!Is everyone else getting this number of views...
