    If you could offer a new hp user one thing that helped you most when starting out, what would it be?

    I'm new as of today, written my first hub, wondering if I could gleam some knowledge off of the pros?? I'm aware nothing happens over night, and plan on making quite a few hubs.

    I'd say: Don't get hung up on the "earning" aspect of HubPages. Just have fun with it.

      Well the earning aspect, is the primary aspect I came for, but I understand what you mean, if I'm not having fun I don't suppose I'd last long. I'll try some goofy hubs. Ya never know!

      Hope you have better luck than I've had. I've been writing "Goofy Hubs" since I got here a year and a half ago and I've earned about enough thus far to buy a 12 pack of beer...domestic, not even imported!!!

    I'd say "be patient".  It takes months to build a following, and even longer to earn anything.

      Yeah I think that's the general consensus about article writing. Nothing happens overnight. I'll try to remain vigilant, thanks!
