Why is my most popular hub my only hub to not be featured?

First, yes, I am looking way too into this; second, no, I  don't care.  I can understand why Levittown Drive was not a feature selection; but in a popularity driven market, it seems popularity should be pretty important.  This also leads me to question just how much more exposure a hub gains from receiving a featured tag? Or does the laymen lack the aptitude, or desire, to effectively judge formal creative mediums through unaesthetic observations?

Good Question? Thoughts only, consider word count, video embedding is disabled, yet these do not answer the question. Popular to where is the question and how it got there too may have relevance. Other than that as you stated eloquently with perception vis-a- vis the imagery - I dun'no.

If the majority of an article's views come from people following links on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, StumbleUpon, or other random links that people have shared, but only a small fraction come from search engines, then I think Hubpages' algorithm will automatically remove the featured status.  It's an imperfect system that gives a lot of weight (perhaps too much) to past search engine traffic, and less weight to other factors such as writing quality, comments, traffic from non-search engine sources, images, etc.

However, editing a hub and adding/subtracting a single character is often enough to put it back into pending and then into featured status.  It's rather silly how easily the system can be gamed, but there it is.  I hope you are able to make a small adjustment that gets your article back into the featured category.  Best of luck to you.

This hub never was featured. I have edited hubs back into feature pieces, but this hub feels like it is determined to remained not being featured. I checked and the majority of the traffic came from hubpages domain traffic. This is a humdinger.
