What is the policy when it comes to "guest articles", similar to guest blogs, etc.?
I know we aren't allowed to copy or use someone's work as our own, but what if someone wants to write a guest article? By this I mean someone writes the article for the purpose of sending it to me to publish & crediting them for the work on the article.
I have friend who's trying to get a couple bylines from various sites for a portfolio.
It really comes down to how it is executed.
I would try to avoid promotional or spammy material.

I think another thing to keep in mind is that the content cannot be published anywhere else online if you want to publish it on HubPages.
Thanks for replying, I will take a look at the link as well. It would be quality and original content like my current hubs, just with an added "written by" section either on the top or bottom.

What sites exist that are free to use, that allow writers to create any content (like HP), where you can make money?

So yesterday I spent a little time trying to backlink a few articles on blogs and xomba type sites. I am not sure that the xomba sites are what is working tho. What I did with the blogs is find some related blogs to the topic of my article and read em, then tried to write a nice quality comment for...

My 10 year old lawn mower repair guide that once shared a snippet with B&S was demoted by Google this summer because of a new guide on repairing mower handles on Dengarden. The author used the same first five keywords that I had in my title. I changed one of the keywords in my title from...

My hub was pulled to be revised. I wrote entirely on my own and now have no idea where to look to see which hub this was similar to. Do I have to read all the hundreds of hubs on similar topics or was there a specific complaint so that I could review that hub and revise mine???
