Can we do reviews on websites without it being marked as promotional?
I found a couple websites I would like to review. They are sites that sell stuff (not my stuff) but they are good sites for parents to do their shopping. So can we do these type articles without being considered promotional?
Not totally sure peeples. My interpretation of that is it states 'Overly Promotional'. Right away that means to me probably only one link to it is safe. I would not mention it very much directly by name either. For one using too many keywords is considered Spam, which in essence means 'Overly Promotional'. So, words like 'It', 'They', 'There' and such would probably be wise.
Here is the link to Learning Center Hub titled 'Reasons Why Hubs Are Moderated (& How to Fix Them)' at the 'Overly Promotional text capsule. (You may have to scroll a little)

Here is the link to what is considered 'Spammy'

I had read a few hubs recommending electrical stuff that they had used. Very useful, full of details, as long the ads are not more than 2, should be ok
Hello, peeples. I'd like to add to what the two others have said. I think that it's important to preserve your reputation as a good writer, and not to have other Hubbers regard you as a (gasp!) spammer. Here's how.
You can frame your hub as "the pros and cons of . . . " However this will mean extra work for you, in order to find some negative comments about these websites. You can also post a positive comment/negative comment estimated ratio for each of these websites.
Then it will be more than just your individual opinion. And your hub will have more gravitas.

How is citing websites and photo attributions considered over promoting?I recently noticed some hubs that have been published for some time have been labeled as overly promotional. The only websites I have listed in my articles are those I am citing and all others are photo attributions. I do...

I know that this is not a new news. I was reading a forum post just 2 days ago about this and now all of my hubs have been marked for Revision. All of them were working great and now suddenly, they have Deceptive tags, title or category.I have not overstuffed keywords, chose the right category with...

On some of my hubs I would like to post links to other web pages or websites. Is that okay? I am thinking of links to online retailers I am not affiliated with or links to websites dedicated to a specific subject. Such as offshore fishing or fishing reel maintenance. I want to write some...

I am back to HP after a long hiatus. I have published two hubs, and both have been marked as spammy. WTH.One was a review of a product, and the other, was how to plant chamomile. Nothing spammy about it.If this is the "new" HP after acquiring Squidoo and making changes, I'm out of...

Wouldn't a hubber who seems to write exclusively on product reviews, which they openly state they got for free or at a reduced price simply for the purpose of writing review, be considered as "overly promotional," as that is all the hub seems to be doing, is promoting a product under the...
