How Does Writers feel about featured hubs that is being unfeatured after they link them to own sites
I'm not sure that I like the way that featured articles are removed, on other sites where writer's articles are featured they are never removed, Yes! I do have articles featured on other site and they are still featured.
Also after a writer makes such willing attempts to write articles and get them featured, seeing them unfeatured just change a writer's aspect of channelling work there.
Also writers including myself channel links to sites for individuals to read and with articles being unfeatured when individuals hit the links they find it's not there, which leaves them annoyed.

Team HP| Stop unfeaturing for traffic...PLEASE!
Awhile back the team started unfeaturing articles due to lack of traffic. Many here think this is a bad idea, and I agree. Doing this upsets many writers and has nothing to do with quality or how Google views our work...except for the fact that leaving low or no traffic articles online...
