For some reason, I can't have hyperlinks from my profile page today.
Before today, the two links I had on my profile page worked just fine. Today, I created another link and now there are no links. And I can't create any. No link to my Google+ account that establishes me as an author in search and no link for new users to sign up to Hubpages. No outbound links at all.
What am I doing wrong?
This is a bug and has been sent to our engineering team to be addressed.
Will post here when we have a resolution.
We will live. Happy 4th to the HP staff!
And fellow HP denizens.
Thanks for everyone's patience.
The temporary profile bug not allowing URLs was fixed yesterday.
If you have any problems, please let us know.
Happy 4th of July!
Looks like things are up and running again. Thanks for your help.
You have a Happy 4th too. Take the rest of the day off.
Today I'm having problems with others linking to my URL. when they use my subdomain to connect. www.dndswordsmith.hubpages.com. They get this message "Sorry, that user does not exist." What do I do now?
Hi dndswordsmith. Welcome to HubPages.
You don't need to use the www. in front of your domain name. Just use
You shouldn't have any problem linking to your domain then.
The new profile being rolled out soon will not allow links anymore in the bio section. But they will have another section where one can put their social media links and maybe some others. My guess is that what you are experiencing relates to that. Who knows? Maybe the time is closer than we think!
Ah so that’s what it might be? I had just spent half an hour trying to re-add my links on my profile page, and restarting my computer a couple of times. Well at least I know it isn’t another virus on my computer, gezz, that would be have been the 3 time I had to reboot my computer again this week.
Yeah, I could feel a disturbance in the force where a great many links cried out in pain before they vanished...errr I mean my profile links aren't working either. Kind of odd.
Thanks! I just went in and added links again (after they disappeared) and it works. Yeah HP! I even did the referral to sign up without a problem.
I am creating a new hub and am experiencing link problems. Says bad link, has no description, complex URL only and the text runs out of the text area.
All my links are stated to be bad.... but in anticipation of a damn good bug exterminator... I put them in anyway!
Now I have new hubs with Bad Bug Links.... at least they aren't Bed Bugs!
Lol. That was good! I have bad bugs, too. Lol, how about a hub titled "How to exterminate BAD BUGS" lol.
This sounds like a different issue.
Can you please read over the bug FAQ and then start a new thread?

Exciting news! Today we have updated profile pages to match the design of the rest of the site. Profile pages are the last holdout, so after today, all of HubPages will have a consistent look and color scheme. The new design is fully responsive, meaning it resizes and functions more smoothly on...

I just updated my HubPages profile a couple days ago and in my profile linked to some of my favorite hub topics that I wrote about. Is this bad to do this since on the profile page we have those same hubs randomly come up below? I just don't want overkill but like the thought that I've got my...

Hi I spent an hour researching online but no one seems to have the answer. On other sites I've been able to post my articles via URL on my Facebook FAN page with the picture, text popping up, but not HUB articles. No problem posting to my FB profile. But with my fan page it comes up with just...

I was reading through the FAQ and one thing that stuck out for me was the fact that after your Hubber Profile score reaches 75 or higher your website link on your profile is supposed to change from nofollow into dofollow. The links on my profile are all still nofollow links (I checked with inspect...
