Hi, I am attempting to write about my six day vacation in Puerto Rico.  I plan to write six different Hubs about each day.  I submitted Day 3:  HP said it was a duplicate.  There was a part I had mentioned in a previous Hub on PR.  I took all that out.  Resubmitted:  This time they say it is too personal.  I don't understand.  Lots of Hubs are very personal.
If I try and revise and take out the personal references, there won't be much left!
    What would you do???
    Thanks.

Mary did you get an email from them? Maybe it would give you a little more information. I would try to contact them before resubmitting. Sometimes it is crazy the reasons they give. They need to give more detail when turning down a hub.

Hi moonlake.  No, no email.  When I checked my account yesterday, there was the red "duplicate" on the Hub.  I resubmitted after taking out the part I thought they meant.  Now, this AM, it is marked "too personal".
I have Day 4 of my vacation all ready to publish, but can't because of this holdup on Day 3.
Just to be clearer:  I did include about 6 photos of me and my daughters who were with me on the trip.  Wonder if that's why they say "too personal"?

Just to be clear:  I did received an email.  I just found it among all of my other emails.  I have emailed HP back to ask for clarification.  I hope I hear back soon.  I am eager to publish my next day.

The photos should not make a difference. We see photos of families all the time on here. I would try to email them and see what is going on. Hope they will explain exactly what you need to do. They did this with one of my hubs and in the end it was that I had Keyword Stuffed and unrelated linking I didn't realize I had done that. I had said Donkey and Horse to many times. I did get an email from them explaining this. Maybe your email has gone into your junk mail.
All in red on my hub it had said Unrelated Links or Products Deceptive Tags, Title or Category. I had also used Love in my Title and I changed that to Friendship. I have no idea if that made a difference. They did put it through the second time after I changed all of it.
See if you said keywords to much and check to see if you have Unrelated linking on your page. Rss feeds will sometimes have unrelated linking. Your not getting the message of keywords or unrelated linking but sometimes you get weird messages and it's something completely different.
Could it be that they see it done as  journal-type entries. Below is what it says in the personal section of Hubpages.
HubPages is not like a traditional blog site, where you publish journal-type entries. Hubs can contain some personal content, but should be interesting, useful, and easily understandable to someone who does not know you personally.

Thanks, moonlake!  On that Day 3 we sailed in a catermaran to two islands.  Maybe I didn't give enough info on the islands and the boat in relation to my personal info.
I have used links back to Day One and Two, and my other 4 Hubs on PR
Just waiting to hear back.  I am nervous!
