When it comes to links in your Hubs, particularly external links, is it better to insert them into the text or to place them at the bottom in a list? Or does it depend on what kind of links? I have tended to put links to my other hubs in text and to put external links in a list at the bottom of the hub. However, recently, just because it seemed more appropriate, I've put a decent amount of external links in the text, in addition to quite a few at the bottom of the hub. I understand links are good for a hub getting indexed and for creating good content generally, but I'm not sure how that works either (I understand why it brings better content, because it gives the reader more resources; but I've also read it brings traffic and helps the piece to get indexed, which I'm not sure why except maybe it makes it get crawled). Any feedback is much appreciated.
I usually use a list for external links that support or enhance my Hub and then text links to internal Hubs. I don't think there is any real rules other than no 2 links to same place just go what you're comfortable with?
