I am a complete newb to HP and when checking my stats today saw a little blue triangle next to one of my hubs, so I see this means traffic has dropped, but can i get penalised for it? Or will the hub stop being featured?
Im just unsure what it means?
    thanks

Don't worry about it. You will not be penalized for getting a blue triangle. They come and go as the traffic fluctuates. It's nice to see a whole bunch of red triangles which means traffic is rising. In general take the longer view.
Daily fluctuations in my opinion, should be ignored. Look at the overall trend over a longer period of time. Say a year at least.

Thats a great reply, molometer. And the only problem with seeing a lot of red triangles is that they will most likely be followed in a day or two by a blue triangle. Like you said, best to ignore it.

As President of the Slacker Society, shouldnt you just be advising us to lie in our hammocks until the blue triangles go away?

It means that hub has slightly less traffic right now than it did a little while ago.  Given that traffic varies no matter what you do, it means very little.

Actually, I noticed that when I have multiple blue triangles, my Hubber score tends to go down.  For example right now I have 5 Hubs with the Traffic Falling blue triangle and my Hubber score has gone down 3 numbers (so far) today.  I don't really know if it's a coincidence but I figured that was why my score was going down.

When I read this I had to go and check. I have 38 blue triangles (my traffic is always up on the weekends and early part of the week, down a lot on Fridays) and my hubber score today is 99.I do not think blue triangles have anything to do with hubber score.

Hmmm, well that is good to know.  I guess I am just not being a good enough hubber today!  smile

It is about 3 am where I live. Since PDS does not want to make any more witty posts, and the OP is doubtless sleeping (she is in London so it is the middle of the night) I am going to leave this thread to you, Stina. Good night.

Thanks for all the replies. I don't worry about the blue triangles anymore and do just ignore them. Not sure if it does correlate to my hubber score, il have to keep an eye on that.
