I have written a hub about how to download videos on Youtube. Definitely, i have no intentions of doing any affiliate marketing stuff. I received a warning that the hub would be checked by the administration. To be honest, i am really afraid that my account would be banned or penalized.. I definitely do not know anything about affiliate things, i just though of the idea and wrote a hub about it.

Here is the warning i got " It appears this Hub might be about free downloads, a topic which is often exploited by affiliate marketers to promote offers that violate our Terms of Use. Please note that Hubs that don't comply with our rules can be unpublished. This is an automated warning; if you've received this warning in error, please disregard it. Keep writing great Hubs!"

Could someone clear my thoughts on this? Thank for all your support...

I've gotten similar warnings on one of my hubs, because of my mentioning free anti-virus software on cnet. No biggie. HP will look at your hub, realize that you are a fine human being in your own right, and move on. big_smile

In general free downloads are problematic and we warn users when we determine that Hub content might be about such a topic.

More specifically, content about downloading videos from YouTube violates HubPages' and the Google AdSense terms of service.
