Alright, ladies! Show me what you got!

    (Helen Reddy and Ray Burton)
I am woman, hear me roar
In numbers too big to ignore
And I know too much to go back an' pretend
'Cause I've heard it all before
And I've been down there on the floor
No one's ever gonna keep me down again

    Oh yes, I am wise
But it's wisdom born of pain
    Yes, I've paid the price
But look how much I gained
    If I have to
    I can do anything
    I am strong (strong)
    I am invincible (invincible)
    I am woman

You can bend but never break me
'Cause it only serves to make me
More determined to achieve my final goal
And I come back even stronger
    Not a novice any longer
'Cause you've deepened the conviction in my soul

    Oh, yes, I am wise
But it's wisdom born of pain
    Yes, I've paid the price
But look how much I gained
    If I have to
    I can face anything
    I am strong (strong)
    I am invincible (invincible)
    I am woman

I am woman watch me grow
See me standing toe to toe
As I spread my lovin' arms across the land
    But I'm still an embryo
With a long, long way to go
Until I make my brother understand

    Oh, yes, I am wise
But it's wisdom born of pain
    Yes, I've paid the price
But look how much I gained
    If I have to
    I can face anything
    I am strong (strong)
    I am invincible (invincible)
    I am woman

    Oh, I am woman
    I am invincible
    I am strong

    I am woman
    I am invincible
    I am strong
    I am woman

      Yep.
      I am woman
      Hear me roar!

It's great that we've "come this far" from the portrayal in the picture.
But indeed the women's movement went WAAAAY too far after that.

So I must say that now-------

      I am A woman.
Yes, I can still roar just as loudly as the feminists.
And I say GGGGRRRRR get a grip, all ye women, and stop denying the rights of men when you kill the babies they've fathered without even giving them the chance to be dads.    And I say that with all humility because of the remembrance of past personal guilt of my own.  Not by abortion,  but otherwise.   So yes I know what I'm talkin' about and will continue to ROAR about men's equal rights to their children.

So,yes, stand your ground when needed,
but lest any woman get so uppity that they think they're the greatest thing since sliced bread, search your hearts, and please remember that none of us would even exist without the male gender.

I've never celebrated this holiday before. Are we supposed to decorate and sing the song? Or what?

    It is amazing how far we have come in 100 years!  The photo is from "DO SOMETHING.ORG"  which reminds us of  some history;

It's International Women's Day. Did you know it was only 100 years ago that police were beating women in the street who were fighting for their right to vote?
This is British Suffragist Ada Wright in 1910 being assaulted by local London police. Never forget how far we've come, and how far we have to go.
