I want to preface this, first, with I'm hoping I have placed this question in the appropriate group. It's becoming more apparent to me that the Google ad images (not "Related Searches" column) no longer relate to hub subjects for my hubs. I was amused to just figure out that the ads on my hubs that I see seemingly appear to be related to sites I have visited today. Is this how it works now? Just making sure I'm not going wonky. Thanks!
Yes. Google will display adverts based on your search history. If it can't track that, it will show you adverts related to common keywords found on the page.
This is why it's not a great idea to overstress about advert content - everyone can see something different based on their location or search history.
Well-put! Thanks for clearing that up, WryLilt!
This is also why I go out of my way to visit jewelry shops.
Thanks for the responses in confirming the oddity I thought might be taking place. Could be beneficial to someone. No stress here. I expect Google to be serving dinner in the next decade or less.
Thanks ytsenoh, I learned something from your question!
Use an encrypted search and you won't get personalized results:
You will, however, be shown ads based upon your IP location (city, state, country, whatever).

There is a real need to purge Amazon ads from this site but there is a right way and a wrong way to go about it.Pages that have multiple Amazon ads but get good traffic from search engines are obviously not a problem....
