HubPages referral links are meant to be used when sharing HubPages offsite, however it is still (as it stands) technically possible to include them in Hubs.
That said, I wouldn't add any link to a Hub that is not explicitly related to its subject matter (as unrelated links are against HubPages' publishing standards and may lead to a Hub being moderated).

Would someone please explain to me what Paul is talking about when he says the team is removing referral links inside of hubs and is asking that we not use more of them in new hubs? I'm a bit foggy as to what he means? Does he mean that when you place a link in a hub that readers...

Okay, I'm trying to figure this out. Is it advantageous to use a referral link in your own hubs when linking to other hubs of your own? I notice some people use them, but most don't. I mostly haven't, but I'm wondering if I should implement it since I'm planning on doing some more cross-linking...
