One of my favorite word games to pass time in places like waiting rooms, is to think up a fairly lengthy word, and see how many other words I can come up with using the letters in the original word.
Last night, as I was struggling to fall asleep, I thought up a variation on that game, which is in effect, a reversal of the process.
Think up a word; short or medium-length, and come up with another word whose letters would allow the formation of your starting word. The rules remain the same: if there is a double-letter in your starting word, there must also be at least two of that letter in the word you come up with.
The only change is that it can be either a random re-arrangement of letters, or a simple anagram.
For example: start with "clear," and see that you can create that word out of the word "caller."
or, "dear" can be an anagram form of "read or dare."
Now, here's my word:
ASPECT.
Reply with whatever word you find that would allow the formation of "aspect," and afterwards, I'll reveal what I came up with.
GO!
(My word was 'plasticine.')
But, oh, I like Glimmer Twin Fan's choice of "perspicacity." What a great word. She gets to choose the next word.....
"not ELIMINATABLE" (something that cannot be eliminated)

@ Glimmer Twin Fan--you also get to choose your favorite reply, and have whomever that may be choose the next word....
Well - I guess it's my turn to pick and I'm going to have to go with chasmac and LAMINATE. That was the first one that came to my mind when I chose my word.
So now it's chasmac's turn to choose a word.

Too close to call - it has to be a coin toss. Heads it's stapler, tails it's plaster.
And the winner is ... STAPLER

You must use at least 3 letters of the previous word.Example p a g e s s e g u e g u s t s g h o s t t o a s tYou do not have to underline the letters that you've used from the word before yours. I've only done so for demonstrative purposes.Here we go! The first word...

This is an endless word game. The rule is you change one letter of the word only.Example:duckdockcockcookcoop5 steps to make a duck go back to his coop. So, we will start from a three letter word. And every time we succeed we increase the number of letters. Until it reaches six letters.Mission 1:...

Please don't stick us with a damned word verification in order to login. I intensely HATE those things. I already login every few days rather than having the auto login. Why do we now need more hoops to jump through????
